What is hydroseeding?
This is the most common question we’re asked and we’re happy to explain the process.
Hydroseeding begins with creating a mixture/slurry of seed, water, and mulch. That slurry is then sprayed directly and evenly onto the surface creating the “blanket of blue”. With consistent watering, you will receive results like these in as little as two weeks!
What are the benefits of hydroseeding compared to sod and seed+straw?
1. Price – The quality of the product for the price is unbeatable! Hydroseeding is on average 70-80% less expensive than sod and only 20-30% more than seed and straw. Simply put, you can achieve sod quality results and avoid the mess of seed and straw for an affordable value.
2. Versatility – Most of us have encountered problem areas of our property where grass struggles to grow. Whether it’s a soil problem, erosion, too much sun or shade, etc. hydroseeding provides an effective solution to most problems. Hydroseeding allows us to install grass or vegetation in the toughest of locations and ensure that it has the nutrients to survive and thrive.
3. Quick Results – One of the things we love hearing from our customers is how quickly they see results! The slurry that we spray directly on the ground allows the grass seed to have the perfect environment to germinate quickly and reach 2-3 inches within the first 14 days. These results are only reached if the customer waters the hydroseeded area regularly after application. The first 6-8 weeks are critical in determining the longevity of the grass, but we always make sure to inform our customers on how to maintain the area moving forward. Is there a set price for hydroseeding?
Prices for hydroseeding will depend on several factors including location, total area, accessibility, slope, mulch rate, seed choice and many more. When we quote a job, we make sure to break down all the details of the customer’s quote and ensure they know what they are getting with our service.
Are you insured?
Yes we are! We work in both the residential market and alongside commercial contractors where we ensure we are ready and covered for any job.
Do you offer a guarantee?
We know a product or service is only as good as the guarantee that backs it up. That’s why Heartland Hydroseeding is proud to offer a guarantee of our service as long as the customer follows our instruction in proper watering and maintenance after install.
